The Company

The beginnings of Goldcar go back to‭ ‬1985,‭ the year in which two brothers,‭ Juan and Pedro Alcaraz started off the business with their first office in San Juan‭ (Alicante‭),‭ with the aim of creating a good car rental brand,‭ specialized in addressing the needs of the tourist market.

After significant expansion,‭ always with‭ ‬company-owned offices,‭ located on the Spanish Mediterranean arc,‭ in‭ ‬2006‭ ‬we took on our current trade name.

In‭ ‬2011,‭ we set up our current website,‭ based on the most advanced booking on-line system and we opened up our first office out of Spain:‭ in Faro,‭ on the Portuguese Algarve.‭ But the plan for expansion initiated a few years back did not stop there:‭ in‭ ‬2011‭ ‬we also opened up offices in Barcelona,‭ Ibiza,‭ Minorka and Bilbao,‭ which would later be complemented in‭ ‬2012‭ ‬by offices in Madrid,‭ Santiago de Compostela‭ ‬and Santander‭ ‬in‭ ‬Spain,‭ Lizbona‭ ‬and‭ ‬Porto‭ ‬in Portugal‭ ‬and‭ ‬the first two offices in Italy:‭ Pisa‭ ‬and Bolonia.‭

In‭ ‬2012‭ ‬we also started the expansion process of the Goldcar Rental system via the franchise model,‭ with the aim of becoming an organizational role-model within the touristic car rental sector in Spain,‭ where our brand is already a major reference.

The mission of Goldcar Rental is to offer a comprehensive car rental service,‭ fulfilling our customers’ expectations by providing a competitive service that always aims towards excellence.
